INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY IN EMERGING COUNTRIES - PRACTICAL ASPECTS
The
substantial expansion of international commerce and of Brazilian exports
in the last couple of years has prompted Brazilian exporters to protect
their trademarks, patents, industrial designs and copyrights in foreign
markets.
The success of this effort depends, to a large extent, on the possibility
of enforcing intellectual property in emerging markets and on the quality
and effíciency of border measures available in externai markets
and in Brazil.
ASPI - São Paulo Intellectual Property Association will bring experts
in intellectual property rights from China, India and Russia for information
and debate with Brazilian businessmen on the situation of the protection
of intelectual property in their countries.
